Folkloric Dance Master Class - F.Munoz, HPE II.133
A master dance class open to all who are interested.

"Ten Minute Play Festival" - P. Zwerling, FIAC 103C
Ten 10 minute plays will be staged live. The plays are written by UTPA students of playwriting (English 4336) and will be acted by UTPA students. There will be plays about love, romance, death, and taxes.

"Mark Twain" (Media Theater) - Thursday and Friday
Dr. William F. Strong impersonates Mark Twain, in full costume and makeup. He speaks to the audience as if they are at one of Twain’s lectures, and all the material comes from Twain’s own writings.
Dr. Strong is a Professor in the Communication Department at UT Brownsville and was a member of the UTPA Communication Department for a number of years.

Art Department: Drawing Workshop (Clark Gallery)
Figure drawing workshop; a drawing workshop using the Wacom drawing screen. Participants would work from a live model, drawing directly onto the computer screen, using this new technology.

Film Screening "Machuca: A Coming of Age in A Times of a Coup" with Panel Discussion: Jose Hernandez, Stephanie Alvarez, David Carlson, Carla Calarge (Media Theater)
A screening followed by a panel discussion of the film. These UTPA professors will provide you with the tools for “reading” the film. Students are encouraged to participate in the dission, ask questions and make comments.
